After a 95th minute Saint Mirren strike cost Rangers what would have been a tenth SPL win in a row, the Ibrox side will be keen to start a new winning streak at Tynecastle and are 7/10 favourites to do just that.
Hearts, however, will be a tough side to beat and are fourth in the table after picking up their first away win of the season, a 2-0 victory at Dunfermline, last week.
Their match prior to that success was against the other half of the old firm, when they beat Celtic 2-0 at home.
They are priced at 15/4 to make it an impressive double over the Glasgow giants and are 22/1 to win 2-0 for the third time in a row.
Before last Saturday’s draw against Saint Mirren, Hearts had been the only side to take a point off Rangers all season.
That share of the spoils came on the opening day as the two drew 1-1 at Ibrox. Another draw is available at odds of 13/5, while a repeat of the 1-1 scoreline is 23/4.
With Hearts’ last four home games having seen them keep clean sheets, boss Paulo Sergio will be hoping for another one this weekend and odds of 18/5 for them to get it could prove great value.
The last meeting of these sides at Tynecastle saw a 1-0 win for Hearts. Despite the attacking threats on both sides, this match could be just as tight as Rangers’ top ranked defence take on Hearts and the SPL’s second best defence.
With that in mind, a punt on fewer than 1.5 goals at 11/5 could win new customers to bwin.com.
They could earn themselves £80 if they used their free £25 bet on this being a goalless or a one-goal game and are proved right.
But bearing in mind the defensive solidity of the two teams and the fact Rangers have not gone two successive SPL games without a win in 2011, expect the Gers to edge to victory in a low-scoring game.
As such, the best bet could be on Rangers to win a match with under 2.5 combined goals at odds of 27/10.
