First Division champions Dunfermline travel to Rugby Park looking to build on their impressive start to the season.
The recently promoted side have adjusted well to life in the top flight, winning two and drawing two of their opening five games. Their only loss so far came in a 4-2 defeat at home to high-flying Motherwell at the end of August.
Spirits will be high and as such they are good value for the win in bwin’s 3way football betting market at 18/5.
But Killie are yet to lose at home this season – despite a less than impressive home record in recent years – and if their campaign was to end tomorrow they would sit comfortably within the European qualification places.
On top of that, Kilmarnock have a favourable record against Jim McIntyre’s team, winning three of their last five games against the Pars, and are at 4/5 to continue in that form.
The two sides haven’t played each other since a 1-1 draw back in February 2007, but in the last match between the teams at Rugby Park, Killie put five past a lacklustre Dunfermline side on their way to relegation.
Killie were 4-1 up at half-time in that match and are 250/1 to go into the break leading by the same scoreline this weekend. Kenny Shiels’ side are yet to lose a first half this season, having scored half of their goals in the first 45 minutes of games.
Punters who use their £25 free bet for joining bwin on this outcome could win a stunning £6,275 if the result comes in.
However, a more realistic punt could be on the hosts to win the opening 45 minutes at 27/20. Alternatively, if you think Killie will be far too strong for the Pars again, backing them to overcome a 1-0 handicap at 9/4 could be a tempting wager.
