Ally McCoist’s Rangers are looking for their 15th win of the SPL season in their last home game of 2011 as Inverness Caledonian Thistle make the daunting trip to Glasgow.
Rangers haven’t lost at Ibrox this season and will hope to stop Terry Butcher’s men winning two away games in a row. Unsurprisingly, the hosts are the strong 23/100 favourites in bwin’s 3Way football betting market for the match.
They do, however, play an Inverness side that has been a bit of a bogey team for the league leaders in recent years, with the side from the Highlands taking five points from their last five matches against Rangers.
Inverness are given odds of 21/2 to cause another upset at Ibrox by taking three points.
More likely, though, is for the visitors to earn a draw in this one, as they did twice last year with two 1-1 results. A repeat of that scoreline is priced at lengthy 9/1, with a draw of any scoreline available at 9/2.
Having said that, if they are to take anything from the game, Inverness will have to perform better defensively than they have so far this season – they remain without a clean sheet after 19 games.
As part of that clean sheet drought, Inverness have conceded 17 times in their last six games, so some punters will no doubt feel that a big Rangers win could be on the cards.
A bet on five or more goals in this game is given odds of 18/5 and anyone joining bwin.com and using their free £25 bet on this could win £115 if this fixture does end up having at least five goals on the score sheet.
