Frank Lampard once again proved his worth to Chelsea at the weekend but the midfielder still looks set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
The 34-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and, despite performing well enough to keep his place in the Chelsea team and England squad, there is no indication that the Blues will offer him an extension.
In terms of league goal return, Lampard is actually having his most effective season since 2009-10.

Lampard’s 200th goal of his Chelsea career helped the Blues move up to third in the Premier League table and they are now at 7/50 (1.14) to finish in the top four. To see our Premier League top four odds, click here.
Eden Hazard joined the chorus of praise for Lampard on Twitter but it remains to be seen whether the England man bringing up his double ton is enough to convince the Chelsea hierarchy to award him a new contract.
