Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic has been coveted by Europe’s top clubs for some time, but with a proposed move to Juventus seemingly falling through, bwin have placed the Premier League trio of Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal among the frontrunners to capture the services of the Montenegrin international this summer.
A couple of stellar years during which he has scored 26 league goals in Serie A have made Jovetic hot property among the elite clubs on the continent and even Fiorentina have admitted there is little they can do to stop the forward from leaving the club.
Viola chief executive Sandro Menucci hinted the club are looking at selling their prized asset and revealed that “from the financial perspective, we’re not excluding any team”.
Initially, it was thought a deal to take Jovetic to Juventus was well down the line, but the Serie A champions now say that is unlikely.
Giuseppe Marotta, the club’s chief executive, said: “A lot has been said about Jovetic but difficulties in our relationship [with Fiorentina] has made any deal difficult.
“At the moment I don’t think it will be possible, but a lot could happen between now and the beginning of September.”
Juventus are 4/1 to sign Jovetic this summer, but it is Real Madrid who are the favourites ahead of the English trio, with bwin pricing up a move to the Bernabeu for the Serbian international as a 7/4 chance.
But the Premier League clubs are reportedly very interested in Jovetic and Manchester City are second favourites at 3/1, with Chelsea at 5/1 and Arsenal at 11/1.
If you think that Jovetic will still be a Fiorentina player after September 3rd, you can back that outcome at 19/20.
