Espanyol to beat Osasuna at 4/5
The kind of home banker that punters dream about. Espanyol have been extremely strong at their new stadium the Cornella el Prat since they moved into it last year, while Osasuna are traditionally one of the worst away sides in La Liga. Last season Espanyol won 11 matches at home – only four teams won more – while Osasuna lost 14 away games, second only to Real Sociedad. This season things are no different. Apart from a 4-0 mauling by Real Madrid, Espanyol have won three and drawn one at home, conceding just a solitary goal. Osasuna meantime are yet to win away from home and have by far and away the leakiest defence on their travels, shipping seven last time out at Madrid, and eight earlier this season to Barcelona. Told you it was a home banker.
Palace v Millwall under 2,5 goals at 13/20
Unless you are from south-east London, there is very little to attract you to this game as a neutral, so you might as well make some money from it. Palace have gone more than six hours without a league goal, while Millwall, having sold Steve Morison and let Neil Harris go in the summer, have struggled for goals all season. Their total of seven away from home so far is the lowest in the division apart from Coventry. A low scoring affair at Selhurst Park looks a nailed on bet.
Betis v Real Sociedad under 2.5 goals at 7/10
Betis boss Pepe Mel and La Real manager Philippe Montanier are staring into the precipice of unemployment. Both coaches are under serious pressure after an exceptionally bad run of form in which Betis have lost seven of their last eight, and Sociedad have taken two points from a possible twenty four. A nervous stuttering encounter looks probable in Seville, with goals likely to be few and far between.
Adding all of these bets onto an accumulator puts the odds at 81/20 – or, in other words, pretty close to 4/1.
