Roman Pavlyuchenko has only scored once this season for Spurs and that was against Shamrock Rovers. Along with that he is yet to start in the Premier League, but his track record against Blackburn suggests he could figure highly on Sunday.
The 29-year-old has scored four times in his three appearances against Rovers since moving to north London in the summer of 2008.
Despite this fantastic record, Pavlyuchenko has never played at Ewood Park, but he is still joint second favourite to score at 17/10 whilst the man keeping him out of the starting line-up, Emmanuel Adebayor, is bwin’s favourite at 19/20.
Redknapp told journalists in mid week that he would be willing to sell Pavlyuchenko and claimed that the forward has not “shown enough this term to be in the team”.
This indicates that the Russian international will probably start as a substitute and could come off the bench and score late on. You can get odds of 6/1 on him grabbing the final goal of the match.
A successful bet on odds of 6/1 for those new customers to bwin using their free £25 bet would see a return of £175.
For Blackburn, the visit of Tottenham presents them with another tough home game. Their previous two League fixtures at Ewood Park have seen them play Man City and Arsenal.
Against the Gunners they produced a stunning 4-3 win, their one and only victory of the campaign, but they came back down to earth with a bump as City thumped four past them in front of a displeased Rovers faithful.
Because of their failure to win more than once, Steve Kean’s men enter Sunday’s game rock bottom of the Premier League and recent history suggests their best chance of getting a result against Spurs is from set pieces.
The Lancashire club have lost on each of their previous four meetings with Tottenham and the three goals that they have managed in those four games came from defenders.
Christopher Samba has scored an impressive 14 goals in his five years at Blackburn and is the best priced of the defenders to bag a goal at 19/4.
