Elliott Bennett has joined Steve Morison and James Vaughan in signing for Premier League newcomers Norwich City.
The Canaries clinched promotion to the top flight by virtue of finishing second to QPR in last season’s Championship.
With this being their second promotion in a row, Norwich are 3/5 second favourites for the drop.
A successful £25 free bet on them to finish in the Premier League’s bottom three, available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account, would return £40.
However, Norwich manager Paul Lambert is doing all he can to boost his side’s chances of staying up by targeting young, hungry players to add quality and competition to his squad.
After signing Morison from Millwall and Vaughan from Everton, Lambert has brought in tricky winger Bennett from Brighton.
According to Lambert, Bennett will fit in well with the current squad and give him a number of different options on match day.
“He is a young and exciting player with plenty of pace,” he told the club website.
“He can play in a wide position or in behind the forwards, he’s a quick lad and he’s got a winning mentality.
“He played his full part in what Brighton achieved last season and that desire to succeed will stand him in good stead here.”
Bennett started his career at Wolves but failed to make an appearance for the first team.
After spending time on loan at Crewe and Bury, Bennett transferred to Brighton, where he made 46 league appearances last season and provided 17 assists.
His efforts earned him a place in the PFA League One team of the year.
