Juan Mata is the latest player to be linked with a move to Liverpool in what is fast turning into a busy summer for the Reds.
Kenny Dalglish has already brought in Jordan Henderson from Sunderland as he seeks to build a side capable of challenging Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal for the title.
Liverpool are 10/1 to win the Premier League with bwin, making them fifth-favourites in the football betting market.
A successful £25 free bet on the Reds to finish first, available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account, would return £275.
To improve his side’s chances, Dalglish has targeted the likes of Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Cristian Zapata, with Spain star Mata now added to the mix.
Mata has been starring for Spain U21s at the European U21 Championship in Denmark this summer, although he already has 11 caps for the senior national team, scoring four goals and picking up a World Cup winners’ medal in the process.
Now plying his trade with Valencia having started his career at Real Madrid, the 23-year-old’s father and agent says he is willing to listen to offers from rival clubs, potentially paving the way for a move to Liverpool.
However, Juan Snr says his future will not be up for discussion until after the final of the U21 tournament on Saturday.
“Until after the Euro, we won’t listen to anybody. After that, we’re willing to listen to all offers we receive,” he said.
“From next Monday on, we’ll analyse what is the best option for the future.”
Mata has scored two goals from his left wing position in the Spanish U21 team’s campaign so far, making him the competition’s joint-third highest scorer.
His teammate Adrian Lopez tops the golden boot charts with five.
