Manchester United are looking to make it two wins in a row against the MLS All-Stars in the early hours of tomorrow morning, with odds of 7/20 suggesting they are more than likely to do so.
The MLS All-Stars are priced at 5/1 to secure an unlikely win in bwin’s 3Way football betting market, with a draw available at 4/1.
Played each year, the MLS All-Star game pits the best players in the MLS against international competition, with Everton, Chelsea and Fulham among the teams to have taken part in the past.
Last year saw Manchester United take on North America’s finest club players and emerge 5-2 winners, and their success on this year’s tour of the States points to a similar result this time around.
The Red Devils have been in merciless form so far this pre-season, racking up 14 goals in three appearances.
They started off with a 4-1 win over New England Revolution before crushing the Seattle Sounders 7-0 and beating Chicago Fire 3-1.
With this in mind, a United victory against the MLS All-Stars appears inevitable, with plenty of goals also on the cards.
Indeed, given the odds of 7/20 on a Man Utd win the best bet could be on there being more than 3.5 goals in the game, which is priced at 13/20.
A successful £25 free bet on there being at least four goals, available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account, would return £41.25.
The All-Stars’ best hope appears to be on United to be distracted by the prospect of their forthcoming encounter with Barcelona, who beat Sir Alex Ferguson’s side in the 2011 Champions League final.
Should this be the case, then odds of 9/5 on the MLS All-Stars to win or secure a draw in bwin’s double-chance market would pay dividends.
However, with the Red Devils in such ominous form this appears unlikely.
