Manchester City take on League of Ireland in their penultimate friendly before a hotly-anticipated Community Shield clash with Manchester United on 7th August.
The Citizens have had a busy week both on and off the pitch, with a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy on Sunday followed by a media storm about the antics of Mario Balotelli and the conclusion of a long-running transfer saga.
Balotelli attracted the ire of his manager Roberto Mancini with a relaxed approach to the match with the Galaxy, which was characterised by a back-heeled shot when through on goal when it would have been easier to pass the ball into the net.
More positively, City concluded the signing of Sergio Aguero, ending a summer-long debate over where the Argentine would end up.
Aguero will be among the travelling party when his new side takes on an Irish League XI tomorrow, although City are likely to win the game whether he appears on the pitch or not.
Odds on Man City to beat the League of Ireland XI are 7/25 in bwin’s football betting market, suggesting they will not have much difficulty in overcoming the opposition.
A win for League of Ireland XI is priced at 15/2 and a draw is available at 15/4.
While Manchester City can be expected to win the game, they have not scored more than two goals in their friendly fixtures so far.
Their first outing ended in a 2-0 win over Club America, with this followed up with a 2-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps and the aforementioned draw with LA Galaxy, which preceded a penalty shoot-out success.
With this in mind, the best bet could be on under 2.5 goals to be scored, which is available at odds of 23/20.
A successful £25 free bet on there to be fewer than three goals, available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account, would return £53.75.
