Everton host Chelsea at Goodison Park in arguably the pick of the weekend Premier League fixtures.
The visitors are 6/5 favourites to win the match, while the Toffees are 9/4 to pick up the points, the same price as the draw.
Those odds don’t suggest how close the encounter can be, however, and the betting intrigue lies in the goalscorer market, especially with Jose Mourinho coming face-to-face with two high-profile strikers he discarded this summer, Samuel Eto’o and Romelu Lukaku.
In the absence of the injured Diego Costa, here are three players who are most likely to get the net rippling.
Romelu Lukaku to score first @ 7/1
Despite not kicking a Premier League ball in anger for Chelsea for over two seasons, Romelu Lukaku has not faced his former employers as a result of the details of his loan agreements at first West Brom and then Everton.
Now free to face the Blues after his £28m move to Goodison, can take out his frustrations on a manager that clearly didn’t rate him. Quite why the Special One didn’t fancy the Belgian powerhouse is unclear, with the former Anderlect frontman responsible for 15 league goals last term to go with the 17 he struck for the Baggies.
Steven Naismith to score anytime @ 15/4
Former Rangers forward Naismith doesn’t receive the accolades of his more illustrious strike-partner, but the Scotland international has quietly become a key figure for Everton and can once again get his name among the scorers.
The versatile attacker ended the last campaign in strong fashion, netting three goals in the Toffees’ last eight top-flight fixtures and already has two goals to his name from as many league appearances this season.
Andre Schurrle to score anytime @ 5/2
The German international took a while to settle at Stamford Bridge following his move from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, but he is now undoubtedly a key component of the Chelsea side and looks good value to find the net at anytime.
Schurrle got his name on the scoresheet eight times last term, but has two in his last three Premier League games for the west Londoners and is coming off the back of a successful three-goal World Cup campaign.
