Juventus have been cut from 16/1 to 7/1 by bwin to sign Manchester United winger Nani after the Italian champions reportedly entered the race with Arsenal, Galatasaray and Monaco to sign the Portuguese forward.
All indications coming from Old Trafford seem to point towards Nani’s exit from the club this summer, seven years after joining United from Sporting Lisbon in a £17 million deal.
New Red Devils boss David Moyes is yet to make a significant move in the transfer market, but may well see Nani as dispensable given the forward has endured a difficult couple of seasons where he has struggled for form and fitness.
But that hasn’t put off potential suitors, with Galatasaray confirming their interest in taking the forward to Turkey last week, although chairman Unal Aysal has since claimed that United have priced them out of a move.
Nani has refuted any suggestion he could be about to re-sign for former club Sporting Lisbon or, indeed, any other Portuguese club.
“I will think about what is best for me,” he said. “I have respect for the Portuguese clubs – especially Sporting Lisbon, but also Benfica and Porto – but I don’t think that is viable. I think my level at the moment is different.”
Nani added that he was “not saying that I will not continue at Manchester United”, although with interest from many clubs it seems unlikely that the Portugal international will remain in Manchester next term.
Despite their claims to be out of the race, bwin make Galatasaray the 6/5 favourites to clinch the signing, with Monaco 6/4 to continue their spending spree on the 26-year-old.
Juve have been cut into third favourites at 6/1 after reports this morning suggested the Serie A winners want to sign the forward, while Arsenal are 7/1 amid rumours that Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Nani to bolster his side’s attacking options for next season.
Nani is 7/5 to stay at United until January at the earliest, and at least 25/1 to sign for any other club this summer.
