Saido Berahino is 17/20 never to play another Premier League game for West Brom in the wake of a tweet that has been understood as suggesting he is now on strike.
Even a newspaper as level headed as the Guardian reported the England Under-21 international’s 140-character-max exclamation under the headline, ‘Saido Berahino vows never to play for West Brom again as Spurs bids rejected’.
Yet the content of the tweet in question makes it hard to see quite how the lefty organ could have extracted the oath in question from his words.
Let alone the assertions from the Daily Star and the Daily Express that Berahino’s communiqué meant he was going on strike…
Sad how i cant say exactly how the club has treated me but i can officially say i will never play Jeremy Peace.

The tweet above, which was deleted yesterday only to be reinstated in the morning, could just as easily be interpreted as an admission of loyalty and respect for Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace.
After all, what would be the point of going on strike ahead of the January window with the European Championships at the end of the season?
With this reading in mind the 17/20 about Berahino pulling on a West Brom shirt again could make good betting, while the 6/1 about him featuring in their next Premier League match against Southampton looks enormous.
Ten days lie between the morning after the deadline day before and the match in question and greater footballing turnarounds have been affected in smaller periods.
