QPR have hardly made a flying start to life under Mark Hughes but there have been signs in recent weeks that they might do just enough to keep their heads above the water in the Premier League this season.
While their away form remains a cause for serious concern – they haven’t won on the road since November 19th – Rangers have picked up seven points from a possible nine at home in their last three fixtures to keep their hopes of survival alive.
The fact that those seven points have been gathered from wins over Liverpool and Arsenal and a draw with Everton shows just how strong the Rs have been on home turf in recent times.
Following Blackburn’s defeat against Liverpool yesterday, a win at Loftus Road on Wednesday will give QPR some much-needed breathing space at the foot of the table.
Hughes’ men can be backed at 23/20 to pick up all three points against Swansea tonight, while the draw is priced at 23/10.
Few would deny the magnitude of Swansea’s achievements in the Premier League this season, but nevertheless their form has dipped in the last few weeks and three consecutive defeats has sent them sliding down to 14th in the table.
Their run-in sees them play four of the bottom five before the end of the season, but tonight’s visit to west London could be the toughest of those fixtures for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
bwin are offering odds of 23/10 on a Swansea win, making them underdogs in the 3Way football betting market.
With QPR looking strong at home and Swansea looking slightly jaded after a long season, a Rangers victory looks like the most likely outcome in this one.
