Arsenal are the second-favourites with bwin to be Nani’s next club after odds-on favourites Galatasaray admitted they have failed in their bid to sign the Portuguese winger from Manchester United.
Nani seems to be surplus to requirements under new United boss David Moyes after enduring an indifferent couple of years at Old Trafford and Galatasaray have made no secret of their admiration for the forward.
But the Turkish champions seem to have ended their interest in the former Sporting Lisbon star having failed to match the Reds’ valuation of the player.
Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal said: “We offered €7 million (£6m) for him. But they didn’t accept. We can’t give more than this.
“We are not going to follow Nani anymore. We can’t give more than €7m for him. They want €10 million (£8.5m). Because of this he is not on our transfer list anymore.”
Despite this claim, bwin still make Gala the 1/2 odds-on favourites to secure Nani’s signature, but is the door now open for Arsenal to make a move?
The Gunners, who look certain to spend big this summer according to chief executive Ivan Gazidis, have been linked with the United No.17 over recent weeks as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his frontline options and Arsenal are 7/1 to persuade Nani to go to the Emirates.
In other words, new customers using their free £20 bet to back Nani to be an Arsenal player come September 1st would pocket winnings of £160 if that prediction proves successful.
Atletico Madrid are next in the betting at 14/1, with Italian champions Juventus a 16/1 chance and Tottenham Hotspur and Zenit St. Petersburg both 20/1 to land the Portugal international.
It is 33/1 bar, while you can back Nani to still be at Old Trafford when the transfer window ends at 7/5.
