Bolton Wanderers host Tottenham Hotspur tonight with both teams desperate for the Premier League points for very different reasons.
With Chelsea and Newcastle locking horns in the evening’s other match, the visitors have little room for error in the race for Champions League qualification and will be hoping to build on their 2-0 victory against Blackburn on Sunday.
That win took Harry Redknapp’s men back to fourth position in the table, four points shy of North London neighbours Arsenal in third with a game in hand.
However, somewhat surprisingly, only Aston Villa (five) have scored fewer goals in their last eight league games than Spurs (seven).
Rafael van der Vaart has notched three of those goals and the Dutchman is 17/10 to score at any time at the Reebok Stadium and 6/1 to open the scoring.
Bolton, for their part, go in to the game knowing that three points would take them out of the relegation zone with just two matches remaining.
Owen Coyle’s men are unbeaten in three and actually go in to this game in better form than their opponents.
Kevin Davies’ brace on Saturday earned his team a deserved point at Sunderland and the one-time England striker looks particularly tempting at 7/1 to open the scoring here.
Punters who use their free £25 bet will see a return of £200 if they correctly back the Bolton captain to get the scoring underway.
Alternatively, you might be tempted to follow the safer tip of 2/1 for Davies to score at any point during the game.
Recommended bet: Kevin Davies to score at any time @ 2/1 Outside punt: Kevin Davies to score first @ 7/1
