He has been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and a host of clubs across Europe and today reports suggest that Manchester United winger Nani could yet have a new destination in the form of Russian champions Anzhi Makhachkala.
The Portuguese winger, a £17 million signing from Sporting Lisbon back in 2007, has enjoyed an up and down United career and looks like he is on his way out of Old Trafford.
Despite winning four league titles and a Champions League winners medal, Nani has been in and out of the United side and appeared to fall out of favour with Sir Alex Ferguson last season, when injuries and a loss of form restricted him to just 17 appearances in all competitions.
And with reports suggesting that new United boss David Moyes has given Nani no assurances over his future and with just one year remaining on his contract, it appears the winger is up for sale, alerting clubs across the continent.
The latest link comes from Russia, where Guus Hiddink’s mega-rich Anzhi are believed to be lining up a move for the Portugal star.
Hiddink has just appointed former United coach Rene Meulensteen to his staff and it is thought that both are keen on signing Nani for the Russian champions. It is 8/1 with bwin that Nani joins Samuel Eto’o et al.
However Roma, who are expected to launch a bid for the forward, are 3/1 favourites to land Nani while Turkish champions Galatasaray, who had a bid of around £7 million turned down last month, are 7/2.
Monaco, another side splashing the cash, are 4/1 to add Nani to their galaxy of stars, while Serie A duo Juventus and Napoli are both 9/1.
At one point, Arsenal were favourites but the Gunners have been pushed out from 6/1 to 10/1, while their north London rivals Tottenham, who have been mentioned in dispatches as holding an interest in Nani, are 33/1.
bwin price up Nani as 6/4 to stay at Old Trafford until January at the earliest and it is upwards of 25/1 for him to sign for another club.
