In contrast to his Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger, Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas believes his side are very much in the title hunt despite the impressive starts to the Premier League season made by Manchester United and Manchester City.
Wenger believes a 12-point gap between his side and the two Manchester clubs is too much to breach over the next 28 games, but with the Blues just three points behind the early pace-setters Villas-Boas is still bullish about his team’s chances.
Indeed, he predicts that the race for the title will go right down to the wire and backed the Blues to keep picking up the wins which will see them crowned as champions.
Chelsea are 3/1 third-favourites to win the Premier League in bwin’s title betting market, which means a successful £25 free bet on the west London side to end the season in triumph would return £100.

“The pattern is of a tight Premier League – this season may be the tightest ever,” the Portuguese told the BBC.
“We’ve just got to continue to compete and try to add the most amount of wins. Most of these players went through a season when they weren’t champions and it hurts them.
“All of them are focused on getting the Premier League back.”
Villas-Boas is hopeful that the gap between Chelsea and the top two will narrow over the next few weeks, with the two Manchester rivals set to play each other on 23rd October and the Red Devils facing a tricky trip to Anfield on 15th October.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have more straightforward games against Everton and QPR.
Either way, with United and City 19/20 and 9/4 to win the title respectively, Chelsea suddenly look good value at 3/1.
