The bwin layers have reacted to the latest developments in two of the Premier League’s biggest budget domestic transfer sagas with a slashing of odds.
Both Saido Berahino of West Brom and Everton’s John Stones have handed in transfer requests inside the last week.
Berahino’s was turned down, while Stones’ has yet to be addressed by the Toffees, but that hasn’t stopped the bwin odds compilers cutting them to long odds-on to move to Tottenham and Chelsea respectively.
The Burundi-born striker has been cropped in to 1/4 to move to White Hart Lane before the end of the window, from just short of 3/4 prior to both his transfer request and Tottenham’s latest £23m bid being rejected.
Meanwhile, Stones is just 13/100 to be available for selection by Jose Mourinho by the conclusion of the September sales.
The England international had been 67/100 to move to Stamford Bridge before the close of business prior to submitting his desire to leave to Everton in written form.
Such prohibitive odds about the deals going through suggest that both Tottenham and Chelsea are likely to return with bids of a higher value, having been turned down with multiple previous offers.
