A third consecutive league defeat for Blackburn Rovers means Steve Kean’s side are bwin’s new third-favourites to go down at the end of the season.
Back in June when bwin’s relegation market was first announced, Blackburn were sixth-favourites for the drop with odds of 3/1.
However, defeats to Wolves, Aston Villa and Everton have seen their odds cut to evens.
Admittedly, Rovers were unlucky against Everton – they missed two penalties, hit the woodwork twice and Everton’s late winner was scored from the spot after a disputed foul on Marouane Fellaini by Christopher Samba.
Nevertheless, the fact that Blackburn have won just two league fixtures since the end of January suggests there are more deep-rooted problems at Ewood Park than a run of bad luck.
And with Kean averaging less than a point a game during his tenure as boss, Blackburn’s relegation odds appear more likely to shorten than lengthen.
With this in mind, taking advantage of odds of evens on Blackburn to go down would earn punters £50 if the bet was successful and they used their £25 free bet available to new customers who sign up for a new bwin account.
Swansea remain the 13/20 favourites to go down, with Norwich the new second-favourites for the drop following a 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Meanwhile, QPR’s change of ownership has seen their relegation odds go out to 7/5, with Wigan also seen as less attractive bets for the drop after remaining undefeated in their opening three games.
Similarly, Wolves’ relegation odds have lengthened from 9/4 to 11/2 on the back of two wins and a draw.
