Following their latest home defeat to Swansea, West Brom boss Roy Hodgson admitted his side are in for a relegation scrap this season.
But if they could play all their remaining games away from the Hawthorns then the Baggies would have little to fear, with their away form only bettered by Manchester United over the past eight games.
So a trip to Molineux, where Wolves haven’t won since December 4th, is another opportunity for three points and West Brom are well priced at 27/20 in bwin’s 3Way football betting market.
The home side have shown they’re up for the scrap, with their confidence-boosting win at QPR dragging them out of the relegation zone, and Mick McCarthy’s men are 27/20, with the draw at 23/10.
Last weekend’s victory owed much to Djibril Cisse’s red card limiting QPR’s attacking threat as Wolves have struggled defensively this year and are without a clean sheet since August.
West Brom are set up best for counter-attacking and should be able to take advantage of the home side’s defensive problems, meaning it’s worth backing over 2.5 goals at 87/100.
Wanderers have been especially susceptible to late goals so it’s worth backing the Baggies to continue their run of scoring the last goal in this fixture for the fifth match in a row at 23/20.
Specifically it’s been Peter Odemwingie who has stung Wolves with late strikes and the Nigerian is well priced at 11/2 to score last, as he did when the teams met at the Hawthorns in October.
New customers using the free £25 bet they receive when registering with bwin would win £162.50 if Odemwingie gets the final goal once again.
While Baggies fans will be hoping Odemwingie can channel his past successes to get back among the goals, Wolves will just want Steven Fletcher to continue his excellent goalscoring run of a goal every other game at 17/10.
With Fletcher’s form and the derby atmosphere, Wolves should have enough to earn a share of the points but their unpredictability means draw at half-time or full-time at 13/20 is probably the best option for punters.
