With just a handful of league matches remaining, Arsenal remain in with a decent shout of a top-four finish once again under Arsene Wenger as they prepare for Sunday’s crunch clash with Manchester United.
The Gunners currently sit in third place, one point above Chelsea and Tottenham, although they have played a game more than the Blues.
But they arguably face the toughest possible task this afternoon as the newly-crowned league champions and a certain Robin van Persie visit the Emirates.
However, Wenger’s men have been priced as favourites to secure the win at 5/4, with the draw at 5/2, while victory for United can be backed at 9/4.
Before placing a bet on Sunday’s big game, here’s some stats for you to consider.
6 – United have opened the scoring in six of the last seven meetings between the two sides in all competitions. They have been priced at 5/4 to score the first goal of the game this weekend.
12 – Wayne Rooney has notched 12 goals against Wenger’s men in his career, making them his joint-favourite opponents along with Aston Villa and Portsmouth. The England international is 13/2 to notch first and 2/1 to score any time.
16 – The champions have found the net in both halves in 16 of their league matches so far this season, as well as in their last three fixtures against the Gunners. They can be backed at 14/5 to do so on Sunday.
17 – The number of times that Arsenal have won the second half of their league games this season. It is 7/5 for them to do so against United.
63 – There have been more goals scored at the Emirates than at any other Premier League ground this season, with 63 in just 17 matches, averaging over three goals a game. Over 3.5 goals in this match has been set at 7/4.
