Man City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has endorsed the Jose Mourinho regime at Real Madrid, predicting the Spanish giants will win many titles under the Portuguese’s guidance.
Real finished four points behind La Liga rivals Barcelona in second place in Mourinho’s first season in charge.
They also lost to the Catalan club in the semi-finals of the Champions League, although a measure of consolation was achieved with victory in the final of the Copa del Rey.
Real are second-favourites for this season’s La Liga crown in bwin’s title betting market, with Barcelona odds of 57/100 representing their status as one of the best sides of all time.
However, los Blancos are still in with a chance with odds of 5/4 and Adebayor believes the “best coach” he has ever worked with could prove the difference in the title race.
A successful £25 free bet on Real Madrid to win La Liga, available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account, would return £65.25.
”Mourinho is the best coach I’ve ever worked with, no doubt, and Madrid will win titles with him,” the Togo international, who was on loan at the Bernabeu for the final few months of last season, told Spanish paper AS.
”I would love to play under him again and I say, ‘I’m here if you need me’.
”If we do not meet again, I wish him and the club well and I say this wholeheartedly, ‘I owe you one’.”
Real and Mourinho are in the US preparing for a friendly against LA Galaxy on Sunday, 17th July.
The match will see former galactico David Beckham play against Real for the first time since his move to Los Angeles in 2007.
However, it looks likely he will be on the losing side as the LA Galaxy v Real Madrid betting market has the away side down as 7/20 favourites.
