Arsenal are considered to be the only Premier League Invincibles, but we have some proof that this is not the case.
The following 11 players have featured in 47 top-flight games between them so far this season and are yet to taste defeat.
Ben Hamer – Played 1
Hamer was drafted in for Leicester’s Premier League trip to the Britannia and kept out Stoke as Leonardo Ulloa grabbed the only goal.
Jose Enrique – Played 3
After a four-minute cameo in the 3-0 demolition at White Hart Lane, Enrique made the starting line-up for the November victories over QPR and Stoke.
Antolin Alcaraz – Played 3
Everton have only kept three clean sheets all season and Alcaraz has started in two of them.
Gareth McAuley – Played 1
It has taken until December for McAuley to make his first Premier League appearance of the season and it resulted in a clean sheet in the goalless draw with Hull.
Jores Okore – Played 4
Having lost six Premier League games in succession, Aston Villa’s results have improved of late and this could partly be down to Okore’s return to fitness at centre-half.
Mathieu Debuchy – Played 4
Debuchy is unbeaten in seven in all competitions for Arsenal and hasn’t been on a losing team since France’s World Cup defeat to Germany.
Billy Jones – Played 2
Jones may be more regularly deployed as a full-back, but he did play in central midfield previously at Crewe. Stoke pop up in this piece again as they were the team that Jones defeated.
Nemanja Matic – Played 14
The least surprising inclusion in this list as it has been well documented that he was suspended for Chelsea’s first league defeat of the season at Newcastle.
Mehdi Abeid – Played 3
Abeid has actually won five of his six outings in Newcastle colours, including in the Capital One Cup success at the Etihad. His winning run was spoiled in Newcastle’s latest draw with Burnley.
Frank Lampard – Played 10
Lampard has won his last five Man City appearances and all of his goals have resulted in victories, except from his equaliser against former club Chelsea.
Peter Odemwingie – Played 2
Odemwingie will have particularly fond memories of his most recent Stoke appearance in the victory at Man City, even if he had to be substituted after coming on at the half-time interval.
