The race to become 2013/14 La Liga ‘campeones’ looks set to go all the way down to the final day, with numerous twists and turns over the past few fixtures meaning the top three go into the last two gameweeks separated by just four points.
Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid’s next matches are all live on the goggle box, so we’ve mashed up a cracking treble – which pays out at over 19/1 – to further aid your viewing pleasure.
Atletico Madrid v Malaga – Under 2.5 goals @ 5/4
Los Colchoneros’ annus mirabilis sees them top of La Liga with two games left and with a Champions League final date with neighbours Real still to come, but their charge up Spain’s Primera division has been largely due to their excellence at the back.
Atleti have scored 75 league goals so far – compared to Los Blancos’ 101 and Barca’s 99 – and considering nine of their last ten league matches have featured two goals or less, odds-against on more of the same here looks a cracking price.
Elche double chance v Barcelona @ 16/5
The ailing champions are far too short at 11/50 to win at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero, considering they’ve triumphed in just three of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Barca have failed to take all three points on the road in the league seven times this term and have suffered defeats at the homes of Spanish lesser-lights Valladolid and Granada, as well as drawing at Osasuna and Levante.
Elche are three points above the La Liga drop zone and not quite safe, so expect a big showing from Fran Escriba’s side in their last home match of the campaign.
Celta Vigo v Real Madrid – Over 3.5 goals @ 23/20
They may be shorn of Cristiano Ronaldo and – possibly – Gareth Bale, but La Liga’s top scorers possess plenty of firepower in reserve for the trip to Galicia.
Karim Benzema, Isco and Alvaro Morata have notched 31 league strikes between them this term and are all likely to feature against Luis Enrique’s side, whose last five games have seen a whopping 20 goals scored.
