Ipswich Town are on a wretched run of form having been beaten in their last seven Championship games and fans of the Tractor Boys will be desperate for that run to come to an end this weekend when they host Watford.
Paul Jewell’s men are at odds of 23/20 to pick up maximum points at Portman Road on Saturday but with just one win in their last ten games, a dramatic improvement is needed from the Suffolk club.
Ipswich have thrown away second-half leads in three of their last four games and the run of play market could be worth a look here with odds of 25/4 on lead-lose.
Games at Portman Road have averaged more than three goals so far this season and should you fancy that trend to continue take odds of over 3.5 goals at 9/5.
Meanwhile, Watford are struggling to find any real form away from Vicarage Road, having lost four of their last five games on their travels.
In fact, the Hornets have not won on the road since September 10th, which perhaps explains why they are the 11/5 outsiders to take the points here.
Having said that, Watford have proved a tough side to break down in recent weeks – they’ve kept three clean sheets in their last five games – and odds of 333/100 for them to keep Ipswich out are certainly worth consideration.
Sean Dyche’s men, who have drawn their last two games, are hardly renowned for their attacking threat and have averaged just a goal a game in their last five outings.
They are good enough to snatch a draw, which is at 23/10 in bwin’s 3Way football betting market for the match, but history suggests they could well end up taking all three points.
This is not a game the Tractor Boys have enjoyed as they haven’t beaten Watford in their last 13 clashes.
Interestingly, in the last ten games between these two sides Watford have come out on top 2-1 on five occasions.
