After League Cup action in midweek, the Championship gets back underway tomorrow afternoon, with high-flying Blackpool, Middlesbrough and newly-promoted Sheffield Wednesday all in with a shout of away-day victories against Leicester City, Millwall and Crystal Palace respectively.
While these three teams are best backed individually to guarantee a return, new customers using their free £20 bet to punt on them in a treble could pocket a cracking windfall of £465.30 if successful.
Blackpool to beat Leicester @ 23/10
Having missed out on promotion to the Premier League following defeat in last season’s Championship play-off final to West Ham, Blackpool look a good bet for automatic promotion this time around given their flying start to the campaign.
Ian Holloway’s side are the only team in the league with a 100% record after three league games. They have scored ten goals and conceded just once, and thrashed Ipswich 6-0 at Bloomfield Road last weekend.
In Tom Ince, the Tangerines have an exciting prospect on their books, with the youngster having already found the net on four occasions, earning him a call-up to the England Under-21 squad for their upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
Early-season promotion favourites Leicester head into the game on the back of three straight losses following their opening-day win over Millwall, including a shock 4-2 home defeat to League One side Burton Albion in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.
For those reasons, Blackpool look an excellent price here to heap more misery on Foxes boss Nigel Pearson.
Middlesbrough to beat Millwall @ 19/10
Tony Mowbray’s Middlesbrough have bounced back rather well from their opening-day defeat away at Barnsley by following that up with three victories on the spin, the most recent being a 2-0 success at Gillingham in the League Cup on Tuesday.
Boro are undefeated against the Lions in their last three meetings, claiming four points against Kenny Jackett’s men last season – including a 3-1 victory away from home – as they go in search of their third triumph in a row at the New Den.
Only promoted sides Reading and West Ham won more games on the road than the Teesiders last season as they went on to win ten of their 23 games away from the Riverside, despite missing out on the top six by five points.
Only relegated Doncaster managed to win fewer games at home last term than the Lions, who secured maximum points in just seven of their matches on home soil, and they’ve already suffered defeat in South London this season as they fell 2-0 to Blackpool in their opening league fixture.
Sheffield Wednesday to beat Crystal Palace @ 27/20
Sheffield Wednesday have got their Championship season off to a solid start following automatic promotion from League One, having collected seven points from their first three games under experienced manager Dave Jones.
Wednesday head into the game on the back of a League Cup win over Premier League side Fulham on Tuesday evening, which followed up a share of the spoils at Derby in their league opener and 3-2 victories at home to Birmingham and Millwall.
The Yorkshire side have been in fine form under former Cardiff boss Jones and are currently on a run of 17 league games without defeat, stretching back to February, and could certainly be in with a shout of the play-offs this term.
Crystal Palace currently occupy bottom spot having lost their three opening league fixtures and were also knocked out of the Capital One Cup in midweek, falling to a shock 4-1 defeat away at League One side Preston.
Dougie Freedman’s side have conceded nine goals in the league already this season and this is the first time the Eagles have lost their first three games in 39 years.
While there are still plenty of points to play for, the fans at Selhurst Park are likely to be fearing a difficult season.
