Crystal Palace return to Championship action this weekend in high spirits following their 1-0 Carling Cup semi-final first-leg victory over Cardiff in midweek.
The Eagles welcome fellow play-off hopefuls Leeds United and bwin make them slight favourites to pick up three points at 31/20, with the visitors at 9/4 and the draw rated as a 2/1 chance.
Palace have not scored two or more goals in a match since a 2-0 win over Southampton back in October and they have lost two of their last three Championship games.
At Selhurst Park, Dougie Freedman’s men have only managed to win once in six matches, drawing four (three of them 0-0). A 0-0 scoreline here is a 25/4 shot.
For their part, Leeds have been on a bad run themselves of late, winning just once in six and losing four times.
Their FA Cup defeat at Arsenal on Monday can be excused but Championship defeats against Reading, Derby and Barnsley have left them in eighth place in the table, nine points adrift of the automatic promotion places.
Leeds have lost their last three home matches – failing to score on two occasions – and to reflect this, Crystal Palace can be backed at 29/10 to win the match to nil, while the Whites are 19/50 not to get on the scoresheet.
It is hard to tell which Leeds side will turn up on Saturday, both figuratively and literally, as boss Simon Grayson has plenty of injuries to contend with at present.
They suffered a damaging 4-1 defeat to Barnsley in their last trip away from Elland Road and a distinct shortage of goals lately is a major worry for their fans.
Of course, Crystal Palace are hardly goal machines themselves (they have managed only 11 in 12 home matches), so a bet on under 2.5 goals at 31/50 should be a success.
But for punters planning to have a wager on the correct score market with their free £25 bet for joining bwin.com, a 1-1 draw looks appealing at 19/4 and offers potential returns of £143.75.
