All I can say after last week’s abysmal Championship Home Heroes selections is sorry, bwinners. I was brought back down with an extremely hard bump as Barnsley proceeded to thump Birmingham City 5-0 and Derby County were toppled by Burnley.
Being a little arrogant following a couple of successive tips was obviously tempting fate and as a result, I was punished with two of my selections thoroughly disappointing us.
I refuse to be defeated, though, and have come back fighting even stronger than before with almighty confidence of getting back to winnings ways.

Brighton to beat Birmingham @ 3/4
I simply have to bet against Birmingham after last week’s shenanigans and thankfully Lee Clark’s men face an unwinnable trip to Gus Poyet’s high-flying Brighton, so I am more than happy to include the south-coast club in the Home Heroes treble.
The Seagulls are currently sitting pretty at the top of table, two points clear of the chasing pack, and I do not expect any side to bridge that gap this weekend.
Poyet’s men are in scintillating form, winning five games on the spin and scoring 14 goals in the process. With Birmingham likely to be shell-shocked after that drubbing by Barnsley, it should be a walk in the park at the Amex for the home side and it is with great confidence I put the Brighton boys in our treble.
Hull to beat Peterborough @ 21/50
Peterborough United, the whipping boys of the Championship, will still be without a point after Hull City turn them over at the weekend and keep our treble alive.
Darren Ferguson’s side are really struggling and seven games without a single point on the board is form that will only see the Posh heading one way – League One.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce will be pleased with how his new side have started the campaign and three points on Saturday will make him even happier.
Hull are currently fifth in the table and only three points off the leaders and knowing that a win could see them joint top come the end of the weekend will spur the Tigers on to another victory.
Three wins out of three at the KC Stadium proves Bruce’s men are a force to be reckoned with on their own patch and with confidence at an all-time low for Peterborough after conceding 16 goals in their opening seven league fixtures, it should be a comfortable three points for the home side.
Bolton to beat Crystal Palace @ 31/50
A brilliant win away at Sheffield Wednesday will hopefully be the catalyst to kick-start Bolton’s season and following that success, I am putting my faith in Owen Coyle’s men to record another victory when they meet Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
A rather messy start to the season led to calls for Coyle to be axed, but the gritty Scot is certainly not one to buckle under pressure and he will do everything in his power to get Bolton back in the top flight.
Although they can only be separated in the Championship table by goal difference, Bolton are heavy favourites for the three points and for our sake, let’s hope the bookies have this one right.
Despite not starting with a flourish, the Trotters are still unbeaten at the Reebok Stadium and with Crystal Palace conceding six goals on their way to two defeats from three on the road, Bolton will fancy their chances of success.
