In my first stab at a Championship Home Heroes column I’ll be looking to Blackpool, Brighton and Middlesbrough to pick up wins. Bet with bwin and punters can get 49/10 on all three teams securing victory.

Here’s why I think the treble has a great chance of success.
Blackpool to beat Ipswich @ 19/20
Having been through play-off despair you could be forgiven for thinking that Ian Holloway’s men would still be suffering from a hangover brought on by that dreadful day. However, the Seasiders have hit the ground running and six points from their two opening fixtures is a dream start to their Championship campaign. In a bid to gain promotion back to the Premier League they will be looking to make Bloomfield Road a fortress and having turned around a one goal deficit to claim a 2-1 victory over Leeds on Tuesday evening, the visit of the Tractor Boys will not scare a confident Blackpool side.
Brighton and Hove Albion to beat Barnsley @ 7/10
This may be an odd selection considering Brighton have failed to find the net in their first two games but with a whole host of new faces it was always going to take a bit of time for the squad to settle. That their opening fixtures were against Hull and Cardiff, both among the pre-season favourites for promotion, is also a mitigating factor so a tie against Gary Hill’s indifferent Barnsley side should spell a first success of the season for Gus Poyet’s men. Barnsley started the season with a hard fought victory over Middlesbrough but that exertion was probably their downfall as they went down 3-1 at Molineux on Tuesday night. Another away day should spell a second consecutive defeat for the Tykes as they travel to the AMEX.
Middlesbrough to beat Crystal Palace @ 39/50
I had little trouble in picking my first two selections for this treble, but there was no stand-out option for the third. As a result my choice is based on the opposition’s shortcomings rather than the home team’s prowess. Still to register a point and having let in seven goals in two games, Crystal Palace are rooted to the bottom of the table. They therefore look vulnerable here. Meanwhile, Boro recorded a 3-2 victory over a youthful and energetic Burnley side on Tuesday thanks to a late Luke Williams goal and Tony Mowbray’s men can build on this as they continue their bid for promotion this season.
