Burnley host Cardiff on Saturday hoping to get their first win of the season.
They drew 2-2 at home to Watford on the opening day and were beaten 2-0 by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park at the weekend.
The Clarets sold Chris Eagles to Bolton Wanderers during the summer and seem to have missed his flair in these early stages.
Hope now rests on the shoulders of young striker Jay Rodriguez, a Burnley boy, as Eddie Howe’s men seek to change their fortunes around.
Malky Mackay’s Cardiff were also weakened over the summer. Craig Bellamy went back to Manchester City after his loan spell, Jay Bothroyd departed on a free and Michael Chopra left to join Ipswich Town.
That said, they have done well in signing Kenny Miller and they have also brought back Rob Earnshaw.
Cardiff beat West Ham in their first game 1-0 away, and then followed that up with a 3-1 victory against Bristol City at home. They did lose at home 3-1 to Brighton on Wednesday though, which is perhaps why Burnley are favourites to win on Saturday.
However, in a close 3Way football betting market a draw could be the way to go.
With football betting odds of 11/5 for a draw, punters who use their free £25 bet for joining bwin on this outcome will be guaranteed a return of £80 if the result comes in.
Out of the last five meetings between the pair, there have been four draws, with the last two occasions ending 1-1.
If you think it will be a similar story this weekend odds of 25/4 are available.
However if you think someone will come away from the game with three points, Burnley are priced at 3/2, and a Cardiff win is priced at 17/10.
Another option could be to look to the half-time/full-time market.
Cardiff have scored three out of their five goals in the first half, whereas Burnley have scored their two goals in the second half, so a tasty bet could be Cardiff to be winning at half time and the match ending in a draw, which is priced at 11/1.
