Birmingham return to the home comforts of St Andrews to face Doncaster following an unhappy winless run of four away games.
Their latest defeat, a 2-1 reverse to Hull at the KC Stadium on Wednesday evening, left Blues trailing in the race to make the play-offs.
Doncaster have developed a habit for conceding late on, with the final goal in four of their last five away matches scored by the home team.
With two games in hand, Birmingham are now seven points adrift of sixth-placed Hull and boss Chris Hughton will be targeting three points today to help his side get their promotion bid back on track.
In Doncaster, Birmingham are facing opponents who have picked up just six points out of a possible 30 on their travels.
However, there have been recent signs of improvement, most notably in a 1-0 victory over league leaders Southampton in midweek and a 3-2 away success over Ipswich on 5th November.
Regardless of whether these green shoots are enough for Doncaster to upset Birmingham at St Andrews over 90 minutes, the home side look likely to win the second half.
To put it simply, Doncaster’s record in the second half of their away matches is appalling.
In the second half of eight of their ten matches on the road, Dean Saunders’ men have conceded more than they have scored, which is hardly surprising given they have hit the back of the net just three times.
Meanwhile, almost 60 per cent of the league goals scored by Birmingham this season have come in the second half.
The clincher is that Doncaster have developed a habit for conceding late on, with the final goal in four of their last five away matches scored by the home team.
Added to this, Birmingham’s most productive 15 minute period in matches is from 76 minutes onwards.
As such, Birmingham to win the second half looks a good option at odds of 91/100, with a successful £25 free bet on this outcome set to return £47.75.

Other options which could be considered on the back of Birmingham’s probable second half superiority include Blues to score more goals in the second half than they do in the first at odds of 27/20 and for there to be more goals scored after the break than before the interval at 23/20.
Finally, Birmingham look the best bets for the win over 90 minutes in bwin’s 3Way football betting market at odds of 57/100.
With Blues unbeaten at home and having conceded only three goals, they should have too much for Doncaster even if Saunders’ men are showing signs of improvement.
Nevertheless, those who wish to back Doncaster to secure their third away win in 11 can do so at odds of 9/2, with the draw available at 14/5.
