The road to Brazil is paved with good intentions and we’ve got a helpful treble that pays nearly 8/1 to guide you through the World Cup qualifier minefield.
Germany v Austria – Over 3.5 goals @ 87/100
So far in Group C six of the 11 matches involving these teams have produced four or more goals, with Germany’s World Cup qualifier ties averaging almost five strikes each.
Austria restricted Joachim Low’s side to a 2-1 win in Vienna this time last year, but with home advantage and the possibility of wrapping up qualification before the end of this international break, Germany can make it nine wins in a row against their neighbours with some style in Munich.
Romania to beat Hungary @ 83/10
Romania lie third in Group D, below their current opponents by a point and a place, but the 2-2 draw between these teams in Budapest was bookended by heavy home and away defeats for Victor Piturca’s side against runaway leaders Holland.
Romania have an excellent record in this fixture, having won the previous three competitive games between the sides prior to the aforementioned draw 2-0 on each occasion and with Hungary still to visit Amsterdam, a win here would put the home team in prime position to progress to the play-offs.
Croatia to beat Serbia @ 8/5
Mario Mandzukic’s 23rd-minute goal sent Croatia on their way to a 2-0 win against Serbia in March and Igor Stimac’s side can effectively book a place in the play-offs at least with a win at the Red Star Stadium.
Croatia are currently nine points ahead of their fellow former Yugoslav republic and will feel they can catch Group A leaders Belgium, with Marc Wilmots’ talented team still to come at home before a chance to avenge the 1-0 defeat against Scotland last time out presents itself in the final round of fixtures.
