“If you ask me if I am one of the better goalscorers in the world, I would reply yes, because I believe it.”

Well, not too many people would agree with Nicklas Bendtner’s typically super-confident self-appraisal but maybe a goal against the world’s greatest-ever team would go some way to persuade the doubters.

And to be fair, his record for Denmark against the big sides says he can back up his own boasts.

From becoming his country’s youngest-ever debutant scorer against Poland in 2006, to his World Cup goal against Cameroon and most recently his decisive strike against Portugal that sent Denmark to Euro 2012, it’s clear Bendtner is a man capable of worrying the big teams when they play De Rod Hvide.

Brazil still have the best player outside of Europe at their disposal in the shape of Neymar and he is 7/20 to add to his eight goals in 16 caps.

With their excellent defensive record (conceding less than a goal a game in Euro 2012 qualifying), Morten Olsen will fancy his side and Bendtner in particular to score first against Brazil.

Big Nick is 19/10 to score anytime and 7/1 to open the scoring so new customers using the ₤25 free bet they receive when signing up for a bwin account would win ₤200 if he backs up his own goalscoring claims and nets first.

Given new-school Brazil’s strength under Manolo Menezes is now defence (what would Pele say?!), keeping six clean sheets in their last eight games, ‘no goalscorer’ is also worth considering at 8/1.

But even though they might not be able to call on the likes of Ronaldo, Romario or Zico anymore, Brazil still have the best player outside of Europe at their disposal in the shape of Neymar and he is 7/20 to add to his eight goals in 16 caps.

Or if Menezes goes for a more experimental line-up than youngsters Leandro and Giuliano are also worth considering to come off the bench and get the last goal at 5/1 and 13/1 respectively
