Two teams at the wrong end of the form table meet in Tallinn tonight, with Estonia taking on Northern Ireland.
It is the first of a double-header, with the two teams set to meet again at Windsor Park on 7th October.
Both sides have only managed to record one win in their last six games although, remarkably, they still have a chance of qualifying for Euro 2012.
Italy are the runaway leaders in Group C on 19 points, with Slovenia, Serbia, Estonia and Northern Ireland all in contention to take second spot.
The four teams are separated by just two points, with Slovenia and Serbia on 11, Estonia on ten and Northern Ireland on nine.
However, Slovenia and Estonia have played a game more than their two rivals, putting Serbia in pole position.
With Northern Ireland’s game in hand being an away fixture with Italy, Nigel Worthington’s men will need maximum points from their two games against Estonia if they are to be in with a chance of grabbing the runners-up slot.
The good news for Norn Iron is that they go into the match as slight favourites at 21/10 in bwin’s 3Way football betting market, with a draw at the same price and a home win at 27/20.
This illustrates just how close the game is to call given both sides’ poor form, although if there’s one thing for certain it’s that there won’t be many goals.
Northern Ireland have scored just two in their last six matches, while Estonia have drawn a blank in five of their last six games.
With this in mind, the game is likely to be decided by a single goal, with odds of 27/10 available on there being just one in the match.
At these odds, a successful £25 free bet would return £92.50, with the free bet available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account.
As Northern Ireland have a goal difference of plus three in the group to date, and Estonia’s is minus three, Worthington’s men look the more likely to grab the winner.
As such, the best bet in the regular time goal bet market could be on a 1-0 away victory at 13/2, which would see punters win £75 with a £10 stake.
