Slovakia host Russia on Saturday knowing a victory would draw them level with the visiting leaders.
In a group which includes Republic of Ireland, defeat is not an option for either side with the top four separated by only three points.
And a win for Slovakia is not out of the question given a Miroslav Stoch goal in September last year inflicted Russia’s only defeat in the group so far.
At 41/20, Slovakia could therefore be good value to follow up with another victory, particular as they now have home advantage.
Indeed, they are yet to lose at home in this qualifying campaign and remain undefeated in all meetings against their eastern European counterparts.
Dick Advocaat’s Russia are the favourites though at 13/10 and are yet to lose away from home in the group this year – winning three and drawing one on the road.
Meanwhile, there have been three draws in the previous four meetings between the sides and you can get 9/4 on this match being the fourth in five.
Despite still being in contention to qualify, Slovakia have struggled for goals and have only hit the back of the net six times in eight games so far.
Furthermore, the Russians have only conceded four goals in eight games and 3/2 for Slovakia not scoring may be an option.
And with Russia only scoring twice in their last four games, it is likely to be a close encounter.
With this in mind, no goals scored at 11/2 or one goal scored at 14/5 could be where the sensible money goes, as could one team to win by a single goal at 6/5.
Finally, given the difficulty of trying to separate the two, drawing half time/drawing full time at 16/5 is definitely worth considering.
A successful £25 free bet on the game to be level at half time and full time would return £105, with the free bet available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account.
