Fellow Group G strugglers Bulgaria and Switzerland meet in Sofia on Saturday in a game key to their already-slim hopes of qualifying for Euro 2012.
With both teams having taken just three points from their opening three fixtures, they are already seven points behind group leaders Montenegro, albeit having played a game less.
As such, Bulgaria are priced at 7/1 to reach the finals in Poland and Ukraine while Switzerland are available at 6/1.
Given how far they are behind Montenegro, failure to win could deal a terminal blow to the qualification chances of either side, meaning both are likely to go all-out for three points.
Of the two, Switzerland are going into the game in marginally better shape having seen off Wales 4-1 at St Jakob Park Stadium in their last qualification game and having remained unbeaten in their two friendlies since then.
Meanwhile, Bulgaria lost their last home match 1-0 to Serbia, while their previous away fixture ended in a 2-2 draw with Estonia.
However, Switzerland’s win over Wales aside, both teams have struggled for goals of late, meaning a low-scoring draw at 2/1 could be a better bet than a home or away win.
In their three Group G matches so far Bulgaria have managed just a single goal and Switzerland have only amassed five, none of which have come away from home.
A 1-1 draw is priced at 11/2 with bwin, with a successful £10 bet set to net £65.
This would mirror the result from the two teams’ last meeting, which was played on February 11th 2009 at the Stade de Geneve.
Ivelin Popov opened the scoring for the away side on 34 minutes before Benjamin Huggel equalised for Switzerland on the stroke of half-time.
A £10 stake on Bulgaria to beat Switzerland 1-0 would return £80. New customers can register here to receive a £25 free bet.
