Germany kick-started their Euro 2020 Group F campaign with a cracking win over Portugal and should now brush aside Hungary in Munich.
The Magyars claimed a memorable draw with France in Budapest but will be more vulnerable without the support of a vociferous crowd.
We like 23/20 for Die Mannschaft to win both halves for our first Germany vs Hungary prediction.
A Look At Germany’s Betting Odds
Never write off Germany was the resounding message after they bounced back from a 1-0 loss to France by beating Portugal 4-2.
Cristiano Ronaldo put the defending champions in front early on at Allianz Arena but Joachim Low’s side turned things around in emphatic fashion.
Die Mannschaft forced own goals from Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerreiro before Kai Havertz and man-of-the-match Robin Gosens netted.
Diogo Jota grabbed a consolation goal for Portugal but Low was delighted with the high-tempo display.
He said: “Overall, it was a strong performance against a technically good Portuguese team who were strong on the counter-attack.
“Especially after going behind, we showed a great team spirit, we didn’t lose control, we were dynamic and energetic, created a lot of opportunities.
“We managed to be a threat to the defence and overall this victory is well deserved.”
Atalanta wing-back Gosens also had an assist and another goal ruled out for offside as he swarmed forward at every opportunity.
Looking at the Germany vs Hungary odds, the 26-year-old is good value at 16/5 to get on the scoresheet again.
A Look At Hungary’s Betting Odds
Hungary made Portugal work hard for victory until crumbling late on in a 3-0 defeat and deserve plenty of credit for their 1-1 draw with France.
Attila Fiola gave the Magyars a shock lead on the stroke of half-time and Les Bleus could only respond through Antoine Griezmann’s 66th-minute strike.
A raucous 56,000 crowd at a sweltering Puskas Arena celebrated as if they had won the tournament outright.
Head coach Marco Rossi said: “Before the match, I was very confident in my guys because I know they are great guys and quality players.
“However, after the match against Portugal, we spent three or four difficult days from the mental perspective and I wasn’t sure we would be able to have this performance.
“We achieved this result, which is something incredible, and we need to be happy about a performance that makes us proud but we need to keep our feet on the ground.”
However, Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema all missed golden opportunities in the first half while Ousmane Dembele hit the post after the break.
It is hard to see Hungary’s luck holding out again in Munich and we feel they could tire towards the end of each half.
Let’s go with 6/4 for Die Mannschaft to outscore their opponents between 30:01 minutes and half-time to complete our Germany vs Hungary betting tips.
