Portugal to beat Morocco @ 31/50
Cristiano Ronaldo hit a hat-trick as the Euro 2016 champions opened with a 3-3 draw against Spain and they will now look to kick on with a victory at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. Morocco dominated the opening period of their clash with Iran but couldn’t capitalise on the chances created and fell to a late sucker-punch when Aziz Bouhaddouz headed into his own net. That defeat could leave the Atlas Lions mentally deflated, with two tough tests to come.
Spain to beat Iran to nil @ 1/2
La Roja had to overcome a late change of head coach and some rare individual errors to secure a share of the spoils with Portugal in a classic encounter. A Diego Costa brace and Nacho’s superb strike were just rewards for some superb build-up play and it is hard to see Iran having much of the ball in Kazan. Team Melli battled bravely to claim their first win at a World Cup since France 98 when edging out Morocco but this will surely be a case of being game but outgunned.
Uruguay to beat Saudi Arabia 3-0 @ 21/4
La Celeste were far from impressive when edging out Egypt in their World Cup opener but should get the chance to cut loose here. Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani showed some more encouraging signs in the second half of that 1-0 triumph and will be keen to seize this golden opportunity to get on the scoresheet. The Green Falcons may look to tighten up after a 5-0 drubbing by Russia but are still easy to oppose in our football accumulator tips.
