The latest Everton transfer rumours suggest Marco Silva is on the hunt for a new striker and bwin believes Moise Kean and Diego Costa are the top targets.
Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson led the way in terms of Premier League goals for the Toffees last term, netting 13 times apiece in that competition.
However, the lack of an out-and-out marksman was noticeable, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin restricted to six successful strikes and Cenk Tosun only three.
Silva isn’t afraid to back his judgement on young talent, having brought Richarlison with him from Watford in a £40million deal.
Juve have given Kean limited opportunities to shine, but he did create a big impression when netting six times in as many Serie A matches during a spring hot streak.
He also scored for Italy in back-to-back Euro 2020 qualifiers against Finland and Liechtenstein around that time.
Costa is obviously a more proven performer, having twice hit the 20-goal barrier in three Premier League campaigns with Chelsea, as well as impressing for Atletico Madrid.
Delph determined to deliver
Everton have so far completed a £22m permanent move for Andre Gomes after a successful spell on loan from Barcelona last term and signed Fabian Delph from Manchester City for £8.5m.
Delph believes the experience he gained in a dominant City side will serve him well at Goodison.
“I just think the winning mentality is massive,” he said. “Having good habits. The training sessions, everybody needs to be on it.
“We need to have that winning mentality in training. We need to prepare properly off the pitch, make sure we’re recovering properly and make sure we’re just really on it.”
The England international said Everton fans can expect 100 per cent commitment no matter what position Silva has in mind for him.
“Whatever role I’m asked to play, whether I’m on the pitch or off the pitch, you’re going to get the same desire, the same drive from me,” the 29-year-old added.
“It’s the way I am and the way I’ve always been. I came through the Leeds academy and the work ethic was driven into us and nothing will change.”
We’ll keep tracking the latest Everton transfer news and provide any more significant moves in the betting markets on who Silva will bring in next.
