With 13 domestic wins in a row, Celtic are unquestionably the in-form side in the SPL.
But First Division Falkirk aren’t doing badly themselves with eight unbeaten games in a row, meaning they are actually on a better run than any of Celtic’s SPL opponents.
Steven Pressley’s side are pushing for SPL promotion and sit second in their division.
The Bairns famously defeated Rangers 3-2 last September and are now priced at odds of 19/2 to defeat the Gers’ arch rivals.
On their way to this semi-final, Falkirk also put out Dundee United on penalties so they clearly have plenty of practice beating SPL sides.
Celtic, however, are playing very well and are winning games for fun with their defence playing a huge part in that.
Of their 13 consecutive victories, nine saw them keep clean sheets and a win to nil for Celtic today is priced at 87/100.
Falkirk will therefore have to work hard to keep up with Neil Lennon’s Hoops at Hampden Park, as reflected by their price of evens to score.
Either way, at 11/20, a bet on over 2.5 goals in this one could be worth a look whether the result of a comfortable Celtic win, or another tight 3-2 Old Firm giant-killing for Falkirk.
Perhaps a pointer to the final result is provided by the scoreline the last time these two met in Glasgow, when Falkirk earned a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park.
Bearing that in mind, this clash could head to extra time and, at 5/1, new customers to bwin.com who use their free £25 bet on a draw in 90 minutes would win £150 if that scenario plays out.
But for those who can’t see anything other than a 14th consecutive Celtic win to send them to the final, the odds given are 11/50.
