FA Cup betting fans have been assured that Stoke City will reach the final for the first time in their history this season.
The Potters take on Bolton at Wembley next month for the right to return to the famous old ground on May 14th for a showdown with either Manchester United or Manchester City.
With bwin currently offering odds of 11/10 on Stoke advancing, their former defender George Berry has claimed that they will be too strong for Owen Coyle’s men.
“My heart says we’ll win and my head says we’ll win,” he told BBC Radio Stoke.
“If the season finished tomorrow everyone would be happy in Stoke, but it could become an even better season.”
The 53-year-old, who scored 30 goals in 269 appearances for Stoke between 1982 and 1990, also eased concerns that Tony Pulis’ side could be drawn into a Premier League relegation battle.
They currently sit tenth in the table, five points clear of the drop zone, and are priced at 22/1 with bwin to fall into the Championship.
But Berry insisted: “I don’t think there’s any problem with staying up. The league has been very tight, but I’d like to think it’s because the rest of the division have actually upped their game a little bit and it’s made it a lot tougher.”
Stoke’s odds of recording a win over Chelsea at the weekend – and therefore taking a major step towards preserving their top-flight status – are currently 17/4 with bwin.
A successful £10 bet on Stoke beating Bolton within 90 minutes in the FA Cup semi-final would return £30. New customers can sign up here to receive a free £25 bet.
