Manchester United, Manchester City and holders Chelsea cannot be separated ahead of Tottenham and Arsenal in bwin’s FA Cup winner betting market after the completion of the third round on Wednesday night.
The trio, who currently occupy the top three places in the Premier League, have been installed as 4/1 joint favourites to reach Wembley and lift the famous old trophy in May.
United had been 9/2 shots prior to last night’s replay against West Ham, but the Red Devils were trimmed to the shorter price after a Wayne Rooney strike gave them a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.
Also sealing their place in round four on Wednesday were Arsenal, who eventually broke down some stubborn resistance from Swansea City at the Emirates.
With the game goalless and seemingly heading for extra-time, Jack Wilshere capped a sparkling individual performance by grabbing the late goal the Gunners’ second-half efforts fully merited.
Arsenal can be backed to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2005 at 8/1, which could prove a tempting price considering they now face a winnable trip to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Sandwiched in between the ‘big three’ and Arsene Wenger’s men in the market are Tottenham, who are available at 7/1 ahead of their fourth-round clash with Leeds United at Elland Road.
Chelsea, for their part, will make the short trip to Griffin Park to take on Brentford after the League One outfit defeated Southend United in their replay on Tuesday night.
Man Utd will expect to progress when Fulham head north, while Man City have a trickier looking tie against Stoke City, who are 40/1 shots to win the competition, at the Britannia Stadium.
Among the other main contenders for the trophy, Liverpool are at 9/1 in advance of their trip to Oldham Athletic, while Everton can be backed at 10/1 after being drawn to face Bolton Wanderers on the road.
