Over 2.5 goals in Sheffield United vs Salisbury City @ 19/50
League One side Sheffield United welcome Conference South outfit Salisbury City to Bramall Lane and goals certainly look assured in this one. The Blades’ last four home games have all seen over 2.5 goals scored, with Danny Wilson’s men registering 11 times in that period. They came out on top in a five-goal thriller against Torquay in the last round and Salisbury will be looking to enjoy their day out. The visitors have a good away record in their league and are certainly not shy in front of goal, having netted 11 goals in their last four matches on the road, which includes a 3-2 extra-time win at Grimsby in round two.
Over 2.5 goals in Fulham vs Charlton @ 3/4
Premier League side Fulham will be expected to progress here but League One Charlton will fancy their chances and the result could be a real humdinger of a tie. Fulham have only failed to score twice at home in all competitions this season and three of their last four matches at Craven Cottage have produced over 2.5 goals. Charlton are five points clear in League One and that is largely thanks to their fire-power up front. A 1-0 defeat to Leyton Orient (where they were reduced to ten men) on their last trip outside the Valley was the first time in seven they had failed to score away from home (scoring 15 goals in that time) and expect them to come at Fulham from the off and maybe grab a goal in an eventual defeat.
Over 2.5 goals in Newcastle vs Blackburn @ 3/4
These two Premier League sides have beaten Manchester United in the past week, each putting three goals past the champions, and their free-scoring exploits should continue here. Blackburn haven’t keep a clean sheet all season but in front of goal they rarely struggle. In fact, away from home they have scored in all but one game this season (away to Cardiff in the Carling Cup). Newcastle, for their part, will be without goal machine Demba Ba following his departure to the Africa Cup of Nations but just two of their last nine home matches have failed to produce over 2.5 goals and with Blackburn in town, goals should be a formality.
