Manchester City and Manchester United remain the two favourites to win the FA Cup despite Everton and Chelsea belatedly joining them in the quarter-finals in midweek.
The Toffees required a replay to get past brave League One opponents Oldham Athletic, but a 3-1 triumph over the Latics at Goodison Park on Tuesday night saw them ease through.
Everton, who are seeking their first trophy under boss David Moyes, now face another home tie against Wigan Athletic but remain unmoved at 4/1 in the outright betting.
Meanwhile, goals from Ramires and Victor Moses gave Chelsea a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Middlesbrough in their fifth-round clash at the Riverside last night.
The Blues have an outstanding record in this competition, winning it in four of the past six seasons, and were trimmed slightly from 6/1 to 11/2 after their victory on Teesside.
In other words, new bwin customers who use their free £20 bet to back Chelsea to win the FA Cup would pocket an impressive £130 if the holders successfully defend the trophy.
However, the toughest possible test now awaits the Londoners as they face a trip to Manchester United in the quarter-finals.
The Reds, who booked their place in the last eight with a 2-1 victory over Reading, are now an 11/5 chance to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2004, having been a shorter 19/10 prior to the midweek action.
City, for their part, have now been cut slightly from 9/5 to 7/4 to repeat their 2011 triumph.
And with a home tie against 200/1 outsiders Barnsley to come, no doubt plenty of money will come in for Roberto Mancini’s men in the lead-up to quarter-final weekend on March 9th/10th.
Completing the line-up are Millwall – beaten finalists nine years ago – and Blackburn Rovers, who will battle it out at The Den for the right to head to Wembley for a glamour semi-final.
Both teams are rated as 50/1 shots to win the FA Cup, while Wigan can be backed at 28/1 – a price which will surely tumble if the Latics do manage to crush Everton’s dreams of landing some long-overdue silverware.
