Tottenham Hotspur are the 5/2 favourites to win the Europa League, ahead of fellow English sides Chelsea and Newcastle United, after today’s quarter-final draw in Nyon.
Spurs have been cut from 13/4 after being drawn against Swiss side FC Basel, who are priced up as the 24/1 outsiders. The first leg will be played at White Hart Lane on 4th April.
Chelsea have been pushed out to second favourites despite being cut to win the competition. Rafa Benitez’s side have gone from 57/20 to 51/20, and will travel to Russia for the second leg of their tie with Rubin Kazan, who are a 13/1 shot to win the Europa League.
Newcastle United have drifted from 13/1 to 15/1 to win the competition for the first time since 1969 after being drawn with 4/1 third favourites Benfica, and will be hoping home advantage in the second leg can see them progress to their first European semi-final since 2004.
Lazio are 13/2 after being handed a tie with Fenerbache, who are 17/1 to win the Europa League.
