The Capital One Cup is back this week and Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Burton Albion all look nicely priced to go through to the next round at the expense of their respective hosts MK Dons, Preston North End and Bradford City.

Sunderland to beat MK Dons @ 11/10
Karl Robinson’s Dons have enjoyed success against teams in higher divisions in this competition but that may not be the case when Sunderland travel to stadium:mk.
Black Cats boss Martin O’Neill has made no bones about the fact he is taking this competition seriously in both his actions and his words: the Northern Irishman fielded a very strong side in the last round against Morecambe and has said Sunderland will be at full strength against the Dons as O’Neill looks to win the League Cup for a third time.
The Wearsiders have drawn all four of their league games but have been unfortunate not to win at least a couple of those and they may have too much quality for the Dons, who are prioritising promotion from League One.
Middlesbrough to beat Preston @ 29/20
Tony Mowbray takes his Boro side to the north-west for the third time in a week and he can make it two wins on the bounce by beating Preston North End at Deepdale.
The Teesiders are still more inconsistent than Mowbray would like, but at their best they are a fine Championship side, as they demonstrated in beating Blackburn 2-1 on Friday night, and they could have too much class for Preston.
North End are still highly erratic themselves, as a 3-2-3 record in League One suggests, and Boro can make their extra quality count.
Burton Albion to beat Bradford @ 14/5
Burton Albion are up for the Capital One Cup this season (somebody has to be) and they can continue their fine run in the competition by beating Bradford at Valley Parade.
Gary Rowett’s side already have some scalps to their name, having knocked out League One Sheffield United and Championship Leicester City in the previous rounds (not to mention Coventry City in the Football League Trophy), and won’t fear going to Valley Parade to face fellow League Two opponents.
Bradford have started the season well, but only three points separate these sides in the table and and the 14/5 on Albion looks to have severely underestimated Burton’s chances.
