Juventus triumph over Real Madrid in the second Champions League semi-final could mean an uncomfortable night in Berlin for Barcelona’s Luis Suarez.
The final will likely see Suarez line up against Patrice Evra and Giorgio Chiellini, who formed part of the rearguard effort that saw Juve past Real Madrid.
Neither is likely to be generously disposed towards the striker, having been caught up in some of the more unbecoming episodes of his somewhat colourful past.
Evra has gone on record to say that he will shake hands with the man handed a lengthy ban for racially abusing him while he was at Manchester United in 2011.
However, Suarez has subsequently refused the Frenchman’s conciliatory gesture on one occasion and the Barcelona goal machine is 5/1 to do so again, while he is 7/1 to be booked for a foul on the former Red Devils captain.
The bwin layers also go 50/1 that he’ll be sent off having committed a bookable offence on both Evra and Chiellini, who he famously bit during Uruguay’s World Cup group stage clash in Brazil in 2014.
He’s 80/1 to return the Italian’s shoulder for further mid-match sustenance in the Champions League final.
Somehow Suarez’s supreme effectiveness as a footballer has allowed him to put such shenanigans behind him more easily than most would be allowed to.
The Barca man is considered far more likely to nutmeg either man en route to scoring a goal in Berlin at 16/1.
