Inter’s second-half defensive woes look set to haunt them once again against Lille tomorrow night, with the French side well placed to take advantage and ensure there are more than 1.5 goals after the interval at odds of 13/10.
The 2010 Champions League winners have been little short of woeful in the second halves of their Serie A matches so far this season, conceding 11 of the 13 league goals they have let in after the break.
It has been a similar story in the Champions League, where two of the three goals conceded have been let in after half time.
Interestingly, Lille are significantly more dangerous after the break than they are in the first 45 minutes.
In ten Ligue 1 matches, Lille have scored 14 times after the interval, which is 78 per cent of their overall total.
This points towards plenty of second-half goals, making those odds of 13/10 on there being at least two particularly attractive.
But even more eye catching is the 3/2 offered on Lille winning the second half against Inter, which is a given assuming the French side can continue their rich vein of goalscoring form in the closing stages of games.
A successful £25 free bet on Lille to outscore inter in the second half would return £62.50, with the free bet available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account.
Meanwhile, for the more cautious punter, odds of 23/20 are available on there to be more goals in the second half than the first.
As for the final outcome, Lille look the best placed to take all three points and are priced at 11/10 to secure the win.
While the French side sit fourth in Ligue 1, Inter’s woeful start to their domestic campaign means they are languishing in 17th place with a solitary win from six matches.
As such, Claudio Ranieri’s team are 12/5 outsiders for victory, with a draw at 23/10.
